Mother's Day

May 13, 2007 18:01

The one day set aside for honoring one of the two beings whom helped to being you into this life. Even if they may or may not have been good at raising and nourishing you the way they should have, it is becauses of that one fact still that we should honor them and their decision thus. Then, there are the mothers in our lives that did not birth us, but have taken on this honorable role still because of their great love for us and their want to be a part of our lives as we do theirs.

My mother has been, is and ever shall be loved and very closely connected to me in every way.
She, to me, is the very spirit and example of what it truely is to be a mother. Her purity, her goodness and great devotion. Also her greater knowledge and understanding, she being able to go through the deeper and darker parts of Hell and come back even stronger then she was. It was my honor and privileged sacrifice to accompany and support her on that journey, as it has been and is, for other great journeys passed and still to come. She is a great example and the strongest woman that I know...I seem to be as such to her as well.
There seem to be none that are as closely connected as we both are in all that we think, understand, are and do. We are companion spirits that ever were and ever shall be.

And now, to honor another great mother whom exists and yet has also passed from this realm of existance to a greater and higher one. This I also do for a beloved remnent who is surely also missing her.

'FOR THE REUNION'

Looking up toward the sky
Remembering how she came to die

Mother

The promised land seems so far away
Might that your children acsend unto you
We do not wish to stay

Oh Little One

Please do not cry
It is the way of things that she had to die

Her power was great
But her time was gone
And from her dusk
Came our dawn

Kaasan

Please do not be sad
Your children know what to do
The reunion is not so far away
We so long to be with you

Sukunai Hitori

Her journey here may have ended thus
But her strength and will remain in us

How truely powerful is the seed she left
Just look at how much you grew
Though she has joined to the Lifestream now
Mother's mnemonic legacy lives on in you
