But our dollar being high is not entirely due to the US economy. Our economy has been doing pretty damn well lately. :/

But since it's so high a lot of our imports to the US are being cut off as it's cheeper to keep is domestic and is killing off jobs killing off our economy, lovely vicious cycle huh?

Yup, it's a shame there's downsides to this. Hopefully we'll be able to find a way to adapt and make the necessary changes.

Doesn't help the fact that event hough they said they 'saved' MTD they still lost 300ish out of the 400 jobs there from cut backs or people leaving. Mom satyed and was laid off for 2 months, and is now back for 4 weeks 'maybe' and then she may or may not have work till Christmas. Appearntly that is their adapting and not just closing the place down since it costs more to make a snowthrower/lawnmore here at 87 cents to the USD let alone on par.

I expect to see a lot more happingings like this.
