His Dark Materials, chapter 1

Has any of you read Philip Pullman's trilogy, "His Dark Materials"? Well, do it, because it's a real wonder!  Now New Line  Cinema has  filmed the first chapter  "The Goldenh Compass", with actors like Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig and Eva Green... not bad, uh?
