I'm currently in So-Cal undergoing job training. I'm living in what amount to a 500 sqr ft studio in a Marriott Residence Inn. It's nice. However I am looking forward to being back home.
Orange County, I have to admit seems like a really nice place to live. The weather is good. It's barely rained since I got here in February and now it already seems like its ready to break into summer with clear blue skies.
There isn't a lot for me to do around here though. There's a real gym the hotel gives us free passes too. It claims it's world famous, and I've been talking to people around here and they've mentioned it more than once. Apparently it's known for steroid pumped body builders. I've seen a few people who were obviously professional bodybuilders with their pictures on magazine covers blown up to poster size and put the walls. It's definitely not as nice or new as the ARC. Most the machines are older and miss-matched. It's not bad though. Usually I don't get there until late so it's not too crowded, and I like that. It works but I still don't go there as often as I should, always once a week, usually two but hardly ever more than that.
One thing Los Angeles really has on the Sacramento area are the radio stations. The radio stations here play good music and ofter a good variety. I remember the stations in the Sac area playing the same songs over and over again. It's almost painful to think about it now that I'm here.
Also I got a PSP to keep me entertained and well reward myself for having a job and working as such. When I was reading reviews, one reviewer described it with something like, "The swiss army knife of portable game machines." That's when I decided the PSP would be better for me than the DS. The PSP plays videos, shows pictures, plays music, and can surf the web with built-in wireless access. It's pretty sweet, but all I've been doing on it is playing video games. I only have 4 so far but I found them to all be quite good. So far I've got: Wipeout Pulse, Tomb Raider Anniversary, X-Men Legends II, and Patapon. Recently Patapon had been reviewed by many magazines as the best game on the PSP. I really find it the hardest. It's about keeping on beat so that your army can defeat enemies. Mess-up the beat or give your army the wrong orders by playing the wrong combination and your eyeball looking soldiers die. I'm waiting until my next pay check, but I plan to get two more games. One is a remake of classic Megaman, loaded with new features to make it entertaining all over again. Also you can make your own levels, which basically fulfills my childhood dreams. The other game I want to get is based on the 70s cult movie the Warriors. If you're unfamiliar with the movie I suggest watching it. It's not very good, but it is the stuff cult films are made of which makes it endlessly entertaining. The game is supposed to extend the movie but also be fun in that way it becomes instantly chaotic.
