Welcome back

Back from China now. It's been about a week. I've been cleaning and then moving in with Yulian. (A Big Deal) My friend who I hadn't spent a long time talking to in about year, made the comment, "Who are you?!" I think this pretty much sums up the changes in my social life in the last year. Previously I never would have imagined moving in with a girl, but now I'm doing it, and I'm happy because of it.

Going through the insanity of moving in I'm a little less happy about. We bought some new furniture, nothing major. I got a fancy new computer desk so that I can huddle in the corner of the living room in style. I like it. It has a pull out drawer for my keyboard. I've never had one of those before.

Yesterday I finally finished the speaker project I started in high school(?). I finally built boxes for the cross-overs and fixed up the mess of wires and loose connections. I even put them behind plexy glass, so you can still see my messy wiring job, it's just no longer in a heap on the floor. My next project is a TV cabinet. It shouldn't have anything fancy. Not enough money to attempt to build anything that involves raising the TV at the push of a button.

Yulian bought me a new soldering iron so I could finish altering our lights. We finished today and they're up now and look great. Next thing we'll do for the apartment is start talking about putting up posters and our pictures. She hates all my old posters. Therefore, it doesn't look like I'm going to get the 5'x3' Muhammad Ali above the TV. She consented to putting it up in the bathroom but I'm worried about what it might do to the poster.

Now I need to find a job.
