The world is in a constant state of crisis...

....and I'm taking the day off. (From all this 9/11 shit, that is.)

I'm finally out of training, and here's my new schedule.

Sunday: 11:15a-8:45p
Monday: OFF
Tues-Thurs: 2-10:30p
Friday: OFF
Saturday: 11:45a-9:15p

Right now I'm getting my 2nd 3-day weekend in a row. After that, no normal weekends for a while. But I'll get to sleep in any day I need to and never work more than 3 days in a row. THAT I can handle. (Plus pajama pants on weekends.) And I get off each day in a reasonable amount of time to catch anything that might be going on.

AUTUMN is in the air. I'm so glad it's finally cool and wet out. Yesterday, The Times had a great article about a new canoeing trail from the Adirondacks to Northern Maine, and I almost felt like I was there. Someday. Again. My windows are all thrown open and have been for days, and the fans are helping to circulate a nice breeze around my room. I might need to replace my futon mattress, and I've been thinking about just putting a rope hammock in my room to sleep in. I'd have to use a stand - too bad there are no trees coming through my room. If my back gets bad, there's always the floor. We'll see, I guess.

All my plants are outside right now; a last hurrah before cold forces them inside. I'm getting my room organized for the great migration - it's gonna get full soon. Next paycheck I need to get a new closet organizer (and maybe a desk). I'm thinking that even if I don't get all my financial aid stuff squared away by Spring semester, I should still be able to afford a class or two. I'm so excited about getting back to school. If I need to, the new schedule might actually help with that.

Anyway, that's about it. Life is good right now.
