i sort of feel mad at the writers and vaughn, tbh. in their attempt to make the whole ~~sides~~ thing seem less black and white, they shat on charles a lot.

But we all know that little scene between Charles and Moira was just Charles' way of trying to resolve his sexual frustration over Erik. I mean c'mon - "where you going?" - totally repressed-60s language for 'lets get it owwwwn'.

Erik's mum-envy is so sad.

As much as I hate to admit it, if they'd left that make-out scene with Charles and Moira in the film it would have at least explained why the hell he kisses her at the end of the film, you know, seen as there is more sexual tension between Charles and Erik then there is between Charles and Moira.

Also, pervy!Charles over the dummy is just, win lol

Pros:
1) James McAvoy giggling
2) Charles being an epic troll
3) "Looking for someone?" "Aren't we all?" (he might as well have held up a neon sign saying CHARLES. Though someone pointed out to me that he was talking about Shaw. D'oh.)
4) Love how Sean and Alex got fleshed out a bit
5) Implied hallway sex. Don't correct me.
6) Darwin mention

Cons:
1) Charles having like three personalities
2) Cockblocking dog. I'll pretend Charles fell into Erik's lap.
3) Who cares if Shaw is President of the world?
4) Not as much Mystique development as I was hoping for
5) No deleted scenes from the climax :( Was hoping there'd be one with Charles recovering after feeling the vicarious physical pain from being used as a human piggy bank.

I thought that too! Honestly I think it could be taken both ways, considering that when he meets Charles there's that big "you're not alone" moment.

Yeah, that would have been nice. Random, but I would have really loved a scene between Raven and Moira. There could have been interesting interaction there, considering Raven's later anti-human crusade. I would have taken that a thousand times over more Hank-being-clueless and Charles and Moira's non-chemistry.
