I do so hope to be able to see the Super Moon on the rise tomorrow night! It will be a full moon at the closest part of its revolution around Earth. Thus appearing 14% bigger and 30% brighter. This only happens every 18 years.
Unfortunately it's supposed to rain this weekend, but hopefully it will clear up enough to see the moon for a while.
This might be "Cosmo's Moon" that is described in the movie Moonstruck. Funny, I've caught that movie on AMC twice in about the last month.
Can we expect odd behavior more than usual on this particular full moon? Best be prepared.
I can already feel the power of the moon awakening my she-wolf. My wolf wants to come out to prowl and dance under its light.
Update - Sunday 3.20.11 3:09pm:
Alas, twas cloudy & raining last night. Saw no Super Moon. :-(
