a reply to "Speak Out: I Had an Abortion" documentary

"Anyone can give their personal testimony regarding their abortion experience. I cannot refute what they experienced. I would only like to point a few points of discussion. 1) Just because a woman may have a positive experience does not negate the fact that another human life likely did not have a 'positive' experience. The unborn male or female aborted was likely ripped apart and/or dismembered in the abortion process. This is merely a fact, not a 'pro-life' statement. 2) Just because someone feels 'positive' about their experience does not mean their actions are morally right or humane. Charles Manson believed his influence in the murders of many people were not only not wrong, they were also morally right. As another example, I was emotionally and physically abused as a child by my Mom. She expresses no remorse about this, even now. Still, her actions affect me greatly in a negative way. I hope that a woman's feelings about her abortion, either positive or negative, are not verified just because she felt them. We must still question whether actions are moral and good for society, not just how some people 'feel' about their actions. "
