Grumble Grumble
The sooner I get out of this job the better. My boss apparently has decided I'm not going to the MAP (Michigan Association of Planners) conference this year. Going to that conference was one of the very few things I've enjoyed in the last two years at this job. For two days I was able to speak to people with an education and interests similar to mine. It was also the only time I heard new things about planning. The last two years I went I stayed in fancy places. The first year it was the Marriott in the Detroit RenCenter, and last year it was at the Grand Traverse Resort. This year the conference is in Kalamazoo so work wouldn't need to pay for a hotel room since I could drive there each day, but I guess I my boss figures it will be better if I spend the week sitting at this desk bored out of my mind again.
