(no subject)
So we went to Bath for our 6th Anniversary, and we had a great time. Left the kids with my parents and they had a great time too. In fact when we were dropping them off before catching the train to Bath, nSprog2 said "Can you go now Daddy?". Nice eh? :) We explored Bath, we went in to the Roman baths, well not in as such, but looked around them. I find the whole thing amazing, that something like this was done so long ago. We had a look around the Abbey, which I found incredible. The architecture is simple amazing; the level of detail and texture you see on the building is fabulous. I can see why old Jug Ears gets on his high horse all the time. Modern buildings are just plain and dull. We went up the river on a small cruise which was pleasant, ate too much and generally had a fab time. So much so we want to go back and explore more.
machogrande came over for din dins on Sunday, and a very pleasant meal was had. The lasting memory was of machogrande explaining how he often forgets his helmet when leaving work, it was suggested he should wear it near the end of the day. Images of him answering the phone with it on still make me chuckle.
Monday was very nice and we had the family over and nWife cooked a fantastic roast beef with all the usual bits. Yum.
This week has been a bit blah, but the weekend looks like it might be fun. Off diving in a lake on Sunday so hurrah.
