Piracy is a difficult thing to battle, especially in an age where illegal copies of a book can proliferate around the Internet faster than anyone can keep up. But Chris is fighting fire with fire.
See what he says about that and about giving away the book himself.
A little about
mckitterick: He has published in Analog, Artemis, and many others, including several short stories published by us, and of course his new novel that we just released. He is an Associate Director of the Center for the Study of Science Fiction with Associate Director Kij Johnson and Director James Gunn at the University of Kansas, where he also serves on the English faculty. Chris is well respected by all who know him, as is his work. It comes as a surprise that his first novel that he labored on for years, a fantastic book of science fiction excellence, would have its rights stolen so quickly.
