Cons and Praise
Hadley Rille Books (and I) will be attending:
** CONQUEST 40, Kansas City, May 22 - 24, 2009. We'll have a dealer table set up with many excellent books to offer. We'll also have a party room where we'll be launching two new books and showcasing other recent releases:
klingonguy's Buffalito Destiny (simultaneously with Balticon). And if we're nice to klingonguy then we just might be able to talk him into linking up by speaker phone so he can read from the book.
camillealexa's Push of the Sky (simultaneously with Wiscon). Oh, and see below for some excellent advance praise.
** THE CAMPBELL CONFERENCE, Lawrence, KS, July 9 - 12, 2009.
mckitterick, kijjohnson, jamesgunn make this an exceptional conference every year, and for anyone who is serious about science fiction, this is not a conference to be missed. James Gunn and Kij Johnson also run wonderful short story and novel workshops, respectively. The Campbell and Sturgeon awards are given during the conference.
** WORLDCON, Montréal, Quebec, 6 April - 10 April 2009.
Hadley Rille Books (and I) will be there and are reserving a party room for Saturday evening. There'll be many authors and food and drink and other stuff and maybe even a reading or two.
** THE KANSAS CITY RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL (tentative), Weekends, September 5 - October 18, 2009.
Hadley Rille Books has applied for space to set up a small bookshop at the renfest. We will be displaying all our titles including the upcoming Renaissance Festival Tales anthology.
