I need to get my cat to the vet!
Ever since he became in indoor kitty (very annoying!), I have been real lazy about getting him to a vet. Last time he was there, they did some bloodwork on him and told me it gave a tentative positive for FIV, the cat equivalent to HIV. What that means is he's not supposed to have contact with other cats, hence he lives indoors now.
So, I think I want to get him checked again to see if the "tentative" positive was real. First, I would just prefer to keep him outside, and I think he would like it more too. Sure would be nice to be able to clean up all the cat fur and not have it back in less than a week. Second, he needs to claim my property back from all the other neighborhood cats and vermon. I looked out on my deck in back this evening, and what do I see but a litter of kittens scurrying away. I go out to investigate, and the mama kitty takes off behind them. So where do they all go? Under the deck! I have a litter of kittens living under my back deck! Never would have happened if my Gibson had been out there to chase them all off. Indoor cats are useless! At least he got rid of most of my mouse problem before he moved inside. :)
Oh, and did I mention that 95 degrees is too hot!
