What ever happened to a kiss to say 'hello' and 'goodbye?'

(I put this on my myspace page but forgot to put it here. sorry)

I want to know why people stopped kissing cheeks as a form of greeting and leaving. Now, I don't mean everyone should kiss everyone they see, but really close friends should be able to show their affection for each other by offering a small peck on the cheek. So yeah, those are my thoughts of the night. Help me try to bring this wonderful tradition back, and if any of you hug me and kiss my cheek the next time you see me, it will be gladly returned.

-UPDATE, 10:23pm- (I wrote this before math class tonight.)

What happened to affection? A hug or a kiss, not because it's expected, but because there is a bond of love as for a brother or sister. And with this physical touch an understanding flows between you. An understanding that cannot be touched by society. It can be seen by none but yourselves. Something more than words to convey feelings. Even if these simple actions fall short as well, they will bring us closer and the rest of our love will be shown by our lives. If we regain these forms of affection as that of brothers and sisters rather than that of physical lust our lives shall reflect our hearts and our love shall be seen by the world.
