WOW problems

OK I need your help people. I installed burning crusade...yes I know I am running way late on this. My system meet all the requirements and then some to run this game. Here is the problem...

While I am playing, the game screen just randomly reduces and I have to quickly hit Alt/Tab to return the screen. This sucks during combat. Anyone know what ( Read more... )

Some program that auto-runs in the background. Maybe your security software?

Yah I can't think of anything else either Chuck, my guess is with Jes that it is something else that you installed at the same time or since you last played before you installed BC?

I have the same problem when my security software decides to update. Except I know it is the security software because a window shows it downloading. You might want to look at your scheduled tasks to see if you have any scheduled to run at the times WoW minimizes. And yes...it is a pain in the ass during combat.

How do I check scheduled tasks? I did not know I had any...lol Just shutting off McAfee does not work.

Yeah, I bet it is some auto downloader. Kodak used to do that to me, it constantly searches for updates (like, every 5 minutes) and can create serious issues. Security software can do it too.
