I know, I've been slow to update lately, but I just haven't felt up to it. Jessica is just a little over a week away from her due date. Everything is still going great, but I'm exhausted. I can only imagine how worn out she must be, and she insists on working up until the baby comes. So, I've been really busy with doctor's appointments, and taking care of her.

In the meantime, my fibro seems to have been getting worse the last couple of months. The doctor still hasn't found an effective treatment, and reffered me to a rheumatologist, but I won't be able to get in until mid-September. So that sucks, but at least I'm on the road to getting help.

Still writing, albeit not on any kind of daily basis. And I keep putting out submissions.

School starts at the end of August, and I'm kind of excited about going back. I'm pretty psyched about finally learning Japanese, and I think I've got a good head start with the CD's I've been listening to at work.

I've also been listening to Jonathan Franzen's The Corrections which is excellent. The man has a way with metaphors that makes me jealous, and this incredible ability to make you absolutely loathe his characters, and yet, really root for them to succeed at the same time. It's weird. These are the kind of depressed, neurotic characters every book on writing will warn you away from, and yet, I really, really enjoy hearing about them, and I feel inspired, not depressed by hearing their stories.

All in all, things are really good. Jessica's amazing, the puppy I got her for our anniversary a few weeks back is adorable, and I can't wait to be a daddy.
