I'm listening to my roommate's friends talk in her room. This one chick is saying how christianity is the most made-up, doucebag religion in existence. My roommate asked what would she say is her "guiding ideology". The chick answered rastafarian.
[wow]
She then went on to argue why rastafarianism is real, citing smoking marijuana to get closer to God as a reason. This was followed up with "all religions are cults that pass around money plates". When asked what she thinks are legitament ideologies she responded by saying "anything that centers on the life-force of nature". (so, wican?)
[wow]
[I should point out that the chick is my roommate's 17 year old "tripping buddy"]
[I should also point out that my roommate (mentioned above) is a friend of my other roommate and is, in fact, still in highschool]
I've had many people try to argue the validity of atheism to me, and many of them have made interesting and well articulated arguments. However, when it comes to religion, some people are only capable of talking out of their ass and regurgetating small snippets and one-liners from other people that they fit into their arguments at random.
