I'm drinking some good coffee.....

....and thinking about the last three national elections I've voted in. I don't think I've had to wait in line to vote in any of them.

Today for instance, I went in to vote and there were no lines whatsoever. I went up and gave my name to the A-D lady, and she tried to hassle me about the fact that my ID didn't show my current address. I had to inform her, multiple times, that the Secretary of State's website says that a current or valid state issued ID or driver's license does not need to have one's current address. Finally the guy sitting next to her agreed with me, and they just had to write down the last four digits in my license number. Just in case? I don't know and don't care, as I voted for Obama and I voted against Issue 6(fah-kers), and for every bond issue that won't raise taxes.

Today I celebrated what it is to be an American.....I got my "I made a difference, and so can you....VOTE!" sticker and I am going to proudly wear it at work. If anyone asks, I will proudly proclaim that I helped elect the next President of the United States. Is Obama the man or what?! I feel like I know him personally after seeing him all over the place.

I'm just excited that our country is reaching a level of tolerance towards EVERYONE. Why should anyone get any more rights than anyone else? AND why in the world can't we have a black man run for and get elected to the office of President of the United States? POTUS!

Yessir! It feels good today, it does. Yay for reform and an end to one of the worst president's reigns in the last century!
