Boppin' away
I know it's been a long time-- I just haven't had the urge to write much lately, with all the stuff I'm working on at school, plus baby stuff, plus sleeping extra. Yowsers.
Little Pebble has been boppin' around in his little space a lot lately. This morning he was going nuts while we were still in bed, so I cozied my belly up to Aaron's side and he could feel the kicks too. That was kind of fun. :)
It's all getting a little more real now, and I still waffle between thinking that December is coming fast (we hit 28 weeks tomorrow!) and thinking that geez, it's forever until the semester is over. I'm still hoping fervently that he'll hang out where he is until I get all the grading done, because I know stress isn't good for labor and it would stress me out to know that I still had to deal with grading when we get home from the hospital-- WITH baby. But other than that, things are good. I still don't have any of the nastier side effects of pregnancy: no heartburn, hemorrhoids (sp?), not even stretch marks (knock on wood). Just a trip to the bathroom in the middle of the night, general fatigue (mild), and increasing difficulty moving around. So I can't complain!
We've narrowed the name list down to two, and will decide when we meet the little guy. The middle name and the circumcision are the harder decisions. I don't really want to circumcise him, so I'm hoping Aaron will become convinced that it's not worth it, becuase I also don't really want to wrangle a bunch about an organ I don't have. I'm more concerned about the middle name. Aaron wants to name Pebble for his best friend, I want to name him for our dads (who both have had the courtesy to have the same name, so we don't even have to choose which grandpa to name him after!). Either way, it's looking like the middle initial will be 'D'. Maybe we should just leave it at that, and then he can be named for all three candidates. :)
