im sitting on a couch in a loft in the middle of London.......truly a city to fall in love with. Waiting for a bus thats going to take me back to Glasgow, going to take me to more goodbyes. I can't believe the things I've done in one summer. From studying abroad and meeting some people who will always mean so much to me. Travelling in 17 countries......17. I saw 24 hrs of sunlight, hung out in a hippie commune, slept on ships, went to the world cup (rome for the finals), skied in the alps in the middle of summer, enjoyed the classic amsterdam anemities, gambeled int he monte carlo casino in Monaco, ate mussels, chocolate and waffels in Belgium, cruised the greek islands.....swam naked in the med in 3 different countries, went cliff jumping on 2 seperate occasions, saw the Sistine Chapel, The David, The colloseum, National Galleries, The parthenon, stayed out until 4 and 5 am too many times - yet not enough times, met up with family and made so many new connections. Now in 1 week Ill be back in Canada, 7 months is a long time but will probably be the shortest time I'm away.....the next time I leave it will probably be for much longer.
How do you sum up a summer like this? what do I tell people and what the hell do I do when I get home.
Miss everyone very much, ready to be back in Canada but not ready to leave the UK, I guess I've found home in too many people and too many places.
