Friday's storm left as abruptly as it arrived, and really didn't last that long. The lights flickered early but we never actually lost power. It absolutely *poured* rain, so hard my car was almost clean (and it was nasty). This is noteworthy because we are in the desert and rain is usually full of dirt. I didn't have a great view of the lightening but apparently it was a really good show. There was some good thunder too, and it sounded pretty close but luckily it didn't scare the baby. Mostly he was just annoyed it woke him up. LOL The tornado never touched down, but I heard rumors of a partial funnel cloud outside Kennewick (next town over; told you it was too close!). Yesterday (Saturday) was really nice and Chad said they were busy at the carwash. I got my car properly washed on my way out to my dad's...and it of course rained most of the day today. Oh well.
My brother and sister-in-law (and 2 nieces) came over from Seattle this weekend to see the baby. They were extremely excited, even my brother. He kept calling my SIL a "baby hog" and was trying to convince her that *Carter* said he was having fun with Uncle Chris and didn't *want* to go back to Aunt Jen. LOL They got into town about 2 and came straight over here for some one-on-one time, then we all went out to Dad's for pizza. I was extremely tired this morning so we didn't make it to breakfast. Carter slept from 10:30pm to almost 2:30am, then didn't go back down until 4:45am, and was back up at about 6. Chad was up by then so he said if I made a bottle, he would feed and take care of the baby so I could go back to sleep. Then he came in about 8-ish and said he was calling Dad to tell him he wanted me to sleep some more so we weren't going to make it to breakfast. After, they came back over for one last "baby fix" before heading back to Seattle.
