As we speak, I am sitting in the backseat of the car on the way to a wine weekend with my friends. Our destination is a couple of wineries in Southwest Virginia. Expect some drunk posts/tweets tomorrow. All three of us have crackberries and laptops with us but the big evening entertainment will be the Wii and DVDs. Mind you, we're only staying until Sunday morning.

Otalia Nation is quite the bipolar place right now. We got great news that might be a foiler instead. We don't know. Then we got a spoiler that sounds just awful and now we're back in disappointed mode.

Update from the car: with a functioning GPS, we are lost in Maryland. Garmin was set to avoid highways. *facepalm* Still getting bad directions from the Garmin. We think it's pissed at us.

I'm sure I'll think of other things later.

Nice banner!

Looking forward to your updates.
Be safe and have a GREAT time.

I used to run around in SW VA. Let me know if it's worth the trip-

Heh, Guitar Hero is awesome. When it first came out, I found out that it wasn't going to be out in Canada for another 3 or 4 months, so I figured I'd do some cross border shopping.

This used to not be a big deal, but then I also used to live about 15 minutes away from Niagara Falls NY. It's quite a different thing when you live in Kitchener/Waterloo and have to drive all the way down. So I timed it for when I was visiting my folks, and then afterwards, I went to Tonawanda and picked up two copies (1 for my brother). You should have seen the look on the custom officials faces when I declared that I had been over to buy a video game.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and PLEASE keep us updated :D

And this Otalia Nation is quite entertaining for me even though I don't know the ship but just reading your weekly updates of the fandom is hilarious. (Probably not for you all though)

Hey, add me to the cheap date list. One or two drinks and even the 'thinky' stuff gets pretty goofy. Let us know if any of the Virginia wine is worth drinking.

I did the same thing! Vagina wine?? Is that a metaphor? Haha! I think your icon confused my brain!

brookes_leaves July 17 2009, 20:34:45 UTC
LOL Why? Because Vagina really isn't inappropriate???
