Trick or Treat

When she got to her car, she was too upset to drive.  She looked out the window and caught a glimpse of some leftover Halloween decorations and closed her eyes.  Took her back to the first time she celebrated Halloween as a young girl on the farm.  She went trick-or-treating with Kramer.  He wore a white lab coat and went as a mad scientist.  Not much of a stretch there.  Maggie Horton had surprised her by sewing her a Dorothy costume that even had ruby red slippers to match.  Erica imagined clicking her heels three times and then her mind cleared.  She started the car with renewed determination and went directly to Sea-Tac and bought a one way ticket to Salem.
