One for Two

So I decided to go to Besancon today.

In preparation, last night, at the bar, I learned how to say Besancon. Cathy had to repeat it 4 times, but it finally fixed and when I ordered my ticket at the train station today there were no communication problems.

Excellent.

On the other hand, Cathy also told me that I shouldn't worry about getting a hotel since no one would be going to Besancon. Luckily, I didn't listen and made a reservation this morning because, as it turns out, everyone in the department of Doubs, was in the streets of Besancon for the fete de la musique. The music mostly consisted of groups early 20somethings playing bad French rock music. Sometimes two bands were so close together that you got two different versions of bad French rock music at once.

It was awesome.

And my hotel actually has a little kitchenette so I am eating udon noodles made with boiling water and a spice packet and watching an episode of Les Experts.

travel, france
