icons, icons, icons
ok, I now have accumulated 4,768 Live Journal --B/J or G/R-- icons saved to a folder on my hard drive.
That is an awful lot of incredible little pieces of artwork. 100x100 pixels of static and animated captures of amazingly creative and humorous talent from folks who love this show as much as I do.
There are thousands and thousands more icons out there that I have not saved. --wow--
Not to mention the quantity of fic I have archived...really another story...good thing I have a very large hard drive.
Pretty awe-inspiring (or pathetic) - considering that I do not spend ALL of my free time on the internet after long hours at work and taking care of personal things. DSL is quite robust in page-loading.
Years ago, I was an art-type person in college and in employment - but I drifted toward computer technology as an occupation and now I do not take the time to develop a creative outlet.
Since I only have a free L/J account - I only use my icon that I created of my favorite Blue Lights (I seldom post anyway).
I guess I wanted to thank each of you talented people - who put yourself out there in words and in artwork. This fandom will probably be around for a while as more newcomers are introduced to the show.
