Hopefully not omens
One of the large and garrulous family of ravens that hangs out on my block appears to have a broken wing. It's family is very protective, which makes me feel better about the neighborhood cats. I'm trying to see if there is anything I can do for it, but I fear I won't be able to do much.
My front-yard iris, which only recently bloomed for the first time since I've lived here, was standing up straight and tall yesterday, like some proud empress of flowers, and today is bowed over, face in the lawn.
And I can no longer open the driver's side door of my car from the outside.
