The proliferation of "blogdom" is a wee obnoxious, having been an early adopter of Frontier and actually knowing enough HTML to build entire websites with nothing more sophisticated than the command line text editor "vi." Sure, "pico" was touch more sophisticated and you didn't need to learn all those arcane keyboard navigation commands ON TOP of knowing the HTML tags to use it, but using vi meant that on pretty much any system, if you could get a command line and a telnet session, you could write things to your website.

Blogs? feh, we don' need no stinking blogs...we OWN the server!
