The Director kept telling yesterday to be patient, that changes are in the works. Problem is, I've heard this before and I've seen the glacial pace with which large institutions "change." Which is to say, that in our lifespans, it nearly never happens. Too much at stake, too many people feeling threatened and making compromises to protect their perceived status quo.
Got a researcher coming in about an hour from now...this will have to do, so far as my civic duty is concerned...
