Today the camera broke and I discovered that it is indeed too cold to go outside wearing a kneelength satin dress and a cardigan. Then Joseph and I proceeded to ignore the fact that my lips were probably turning blue and it wasn't until I was returning from town that I found my hat and scarf in the most unlikely place ever - the bottom of the pushchair. Can't quite remember how they got there, but this is me so it's highly likely that I left them there...
Anyway, enough of the ways my day sucked...
I bought a gorgeous pair of grey trousers which will not impress most people because grey is still a boring colour... however these are SIZE 16!!! Yeah, that's right, I finally lost enough weight that I fit into M&S size 16s...
also, Fortean Times arrived and so did another big post item which I completely forgot I ordered. Turns out that at the beginning of the month I decided to purchase Sorrows of Adoration on a random whim (I think the author may have referred to it on her blog and I thought it was worth a try.) it's by
kimberlychapman who's made many gorgeous knitting patterns which I've always wanted to try but never got around to trying out. Anyway, now that it is the next thing in my reading pile I shall attempt to finish reading the China Mieville book I took out from the library.
Also, Joseph likes Doctor Seuss books which surprises me... he stays still for them and doesn't wander off until at least halfway through... Right now, he's wandering around the living room with my phone pretending to talk to somebody on the other end. His speech is really coming on and he really seems to understand us when we speak to him in both english and spanish. He also sort of knows left from right, but found that he gets the same amount of praise for lifting his left foot as he does for his right during nappy change so we're pretty lax on that one once again.
Still, we've not had a completely terrible day and I've gained a pair of trousers, FT and a book so I can't complain.
