I have an unhealthy obsession with weasels and other polecat-like animals...
Furthermore, my hatred for old people increased exponentially today as I took Joseph into town for supplies. A group of old people in the front entrance of M&S gave me evil looks because I wanted to get in (they were blocking the entrance and it was raining plus I had shopping to do) so once I got in I was less than impressed to find myself trapped behind a swarm of old people who STOPPED RANDOMLY in the middle of the shop to decide what to do. They blocked the entire f***ing aisle so nobody could pass and then an old woman glared at me because once they'd moved and I'd finally managed to overtake them I didn't adequately thank her for letting me pass. THEY WERE OBLIVIOUS TO MY EXISTENCE UNTIL I MANAGED TO PASS and I did try to say "excuse me" but to no avail... grr...
The worst thing was that then in the supermarket section the old people seemed to regroup and I almost had to use the ramming prow feature of the pushchair just to get to the till where some random guy gave me a dirty look for daring to use the express lane like he did... On the good side, we avoided old people on the way out as we ducked out of the back entrance and came straight home so I could force apple juice into Joseph's system.
Joseph is now sleeping, he has been for nearly 3 hours. Hopefully his flu will be over soon though he's taking it really well, aside from the calpol inflictions (he hates calpol for some random reason) which we've taken to mixing in with his weetabix or yoghurt.
One good thing in all of this is that he's extra huggy. Scarily so. Since he learnt how to walk his reaction to hugs was more of a "gerroff! I'm trying to explore!" but now he's inconsolable if you don't hug him or let him fall asleep on your lap... *sigh* I never thought I'd get worried if Joseph demanded hugs before...
