Hosting is a god activity... maybe demi-god activity....
A wonderful service to others...
You generally don't get to attend the party if you are hosting.
Chicken with heead cut off.
Zoom!

2006 will kick ass! We shall make it so!
I am more excited about this year than any in my life!

That's a lot of vacation time and a lot of plane tickets, so something might have to give in there.

Yeah, been there. Only so many days in each holiday too, unfortunately.

(And speaking of which, sorry I missed you when you were in the "homeland" this Christmas. I was in closer proximity to you than usual, but without transportation.)

and most importantly, like I said above, I see 2006 as being a great year for really getting to know some wonderful people better. You all enrich my life tremendously. Thank you.

Well said.

It's comforting to find out that even an experienced host such as yourself gets stressed.

To your credit, I've never witnessed you being the slightest bit manic at your gatherings. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen you as anything but calm. I'll occasionally hear rumors of the existence of a stressed Eric, but I tend to lump them in with Bigfoot sightings and demonstrations of cold fusion.
