LDWS Rules
This contest will last 8 weeks. Every week you will be required to write a drabble based on a given prompt. Voters will chose their favorite an least favorite (there will be two polls). Each vote a drabble receives in the "favorites" polls will earn the story a point, each vote it receives in the "least favorites" poll will earn it a negative point. The user with the least amount of points total will be eliminated. The user (or users) with the most points will be that weeks winner. As we have 13 participants, there will be several weeks where we have double eliminations!
If, for any reason, you need to drop out, please let me know ASAP so I can adjust the schedule accordingly.
The weeks prompts and guidelines will be posted on Mondays. Your drabble must be emailed to me at codiasi.ldws@gmail.com by Thursday at 4PM EST. All times posted will be EST, so if you're in a different time zone, please pay attention to times so you know when to submit your work by! Drabbles will be posted anonymously on Thursday, likely sometime before Smackdown starts at 8PM EST. Voting will take place until approximately 12 noon EST Mondays. Eliminations will take place in that weeks prompt post.
Rules:
1. Drabbles will be between 100-500 words, each weekly challenge will specify specific guidelines for you to follow.
2. The pairings will be the author's choice! There will be no assigned pairings at any point in the challenge. So, please, keep in mind when voting, if you don't like a pairing, please don't vote based off that, vote based off the quality of the writing and how well it follows the prompt.
3. Drabbles must remain anonymous. They may not be posted here or elsewhere, either as a drabble or a full fic, until the completion of the challenge. The only person who may read your drabble is one beta of your choosing. Please, tell your friends to vote but DO NOT tell anyone which drabble is yours! Author reveals will be made once the winner and eliminated authors are announced!
4. Users may not vote for their own drabble.
5. Tie-breaker:
- In the event of a tie for Most Favourite, the participant with the most “Most Favourite” votes will be the winner.
- In the event of a tie for Least Favourite, the participant with the most “Least Favourite” votes will be eliminated.
- In either case, if the tied participants have the same “high” numbers, there will be a 24-hour tie-breaker vote.
