A kind of depressing fic... Sorry bout that...

Apr 11, 2008 17:18

Ok, this may be a bit depressing, but I had to write it. It's obviously based on recent events in my life. It felt good to get this out of me, though. I couldn't bring myself to write more than this, it's just too raw at the moment... Anyway, here we go ( Read more... )

Well, that's how I'm feeling right now. I'm having major mood swings, I can go from sad to happy back to sad just like that. Thank you, I was hoping to get a message across. ♥

oh and on a side note, ja I added you but it didn't mean you had to back :P. I just figured I read a lot so it would help to keep track of it. Mine isn't as interesting.

I couldn't have you add me and not add you back. Besides, I have a bit of an issue with that, it bothers me if the numbers don't match up. Just like I like it when the number of comments is even. And, hey, your LJ has icons and pictures, mine is just writing, and the occasional pic of whatever sexy man I feel like posting. :P And we can't forget my random pic!spams.

I like picspams! ocd a bit? I understand.

I'd write more but I feel so like English moronic when I try. I'm half dead right now but I've had an idea for a fic now for about a week, I've just so busy one of these days I want to try it...

Like after I finish my assignment that's due Monday morning and I haven't sent to the printers yet on a Saturday morning... and the two birthday gifts I gotta do...

Everyone likes picspams! Yeah, just a bit OCD...

If you wanted, I could beta read the fic for you, to smooth out the English. Your English is really good as it is, though. Sucks that you've been so busy, hopefully life will calm down a bit. ♥

But, yeah, if you get around to writing it, just remember the beta offer still stands. :)

Never not with my job half IT; half graphic designer (I'm only supposed to get paid for the second too *snorts*) but I use free time wisely but sending my other half away so I can accomplish something....

Danke^^ I worked hard to master it after being a failure at for almost 7 years.

I shall keep it in mind though and will poke if I accomplish it.

Ah, computer work. Seems too complicated for me... :P At least you use your free time wisely. I know I spend a lot of my free time reading slash instead of doing my homework...

I guess hard work really does pay off. I think I would be doing better in German if I really worked at it. Not like I'm failing, or anything, but I'm coasting. I have got "Ja, ja" down, though. :D

Good, it would be my pleasure. :)

my advice on german is never take it unless you seriously want to learn it because it requires a lot of work once you get in deep because rules change, the language changes peroidically see the fall and re-rise of the ß for details and it can be unforgiving when it comes to words like Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung.

eric_idle_rules April 12 2008, 04:29:03 UTC
I do like the language, I'm just not a language person. Ah, yeah, the ß. For the longest time I wanted to know what the B thing was. Then my friend took German last semester and told me it was actually a sharp s. Who would have thought?

Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung
Oh jeez. My prof was right, Germans do like making long words...

*shrugs* scharfes S though was banned for a while then it wasn't... etc... German government can't make up their minds... and ja, the longer the word the better normally that just stands for speed limit.

Another thing that's taking me a while to get used to is the gender thing. I've heard English is one of the harder languages to learn, which makes sense, because English is just weird at times. However, one thing English does do that's easy is not have genders for things.

You mean that wicked long word is the speed limit? Wow.

*nods*. Welcome to a whole new world of craziness. On truth, I found English words easy... what made English hard for me was the differences between English UK and English EN (American) and the whole you mean their, they're, and there aren't the same thing?!

Gendering is a pain but ironically very easy after a while- most languages do it so once you learn one, it's a domino effect.

I was looking at the profiling are you just a hardcore LJer or do/go other places? Are a messenager person? etc.

Things would be easier if UK and American English were the same... I spell colour and all those words with the 'u.' And, even though I was born and raised in the US, I let British words slip into conversation whenever I can. The their, there and they're thing gets native English speakers, trust me on that one. And there's also its and it's. That's a huge mistake people make all the time.

I know Latin had the genders, I took 4 years of that. They weren't that bad, it just makes things more complicated.

Yeah, I really just do LJ. I mean, it's got all the slash I could imagine right here in front of me. :)

*laughs* expand more. I can read my messages easily here but I spend most of my time on forums even though I do fic browse much later I like camleot slash area lots of really cool slash fics...

*shrugs*

but supernatural slash love is all over LJ so those I bookmark and read whenever I feel like it.

----

Well its' isn't a word, it's stands for it is, and its is a possession if I remember right.

As for the first, I know I have an American friend who I explain the English language to almost all the time to the point she yells at me for the continuing correcting.

I prefer British, I was raised on it for a reason.

I do go on one forum, one for Brokeback Mountain. And I do browse facebook from time to time. Camelot era slash? Now that sounds hot. I'm in quite a few fandoms, Brokeback, Harry Potter, WWE (obviously), Psych, Monk, Buffy, the list goes on. I've never seen Supernatural, though. If I were to, I'd probably get involved in the fandom.

Yup, you got it. I had that drilled in my head from my mum, who's a 4th grade teacher. I cringe any time someone uses it's instead of its.

Nice! I'm that person in my group of friends, always correcting their grammar...

Personally, I'm just jealous of the sexy British accents.
