Man, the stuff they used to show kids at the holidays back in the 80's...
Remember this one?
Pac-Man meets Santa Claus! It's a brief discussion covering a little-known holiday "treasure", the Pac-Man Christmas Special.
What, you never heard of the Pac-Man TV show? It was a cartoon showing, who else, Pac-Man and his wife and baby son and sometimes his dog and cat facing some generic evil villain who looked like an evil cyborg sorcerer and his flunkies, the Ghost Monsters Inky, Blinkie, Clyde, Sue, Winkie (I think). Cyborg Sorcerer Guy would come up with some silly scheme or another for conquering Pac-Land, send his moron assistants out to handle it, and they would of course get outsmarted by Pac-Man. What do you expect, it was the 80's. If they'd stuck in a villain with the competence level of Nightmare Moon or the Diniverse Joker the whole show would have been over in about five minutes.
Anyway, at the link you will find the whole story of the not-special-in-the-least holiday special "inspired" by the show. Believe me, it's more entertaining than the actual cartoon.
You'll also find articles covering Santa Slay (Satanic Santa, played by pro wrestler Goldberg, turns evil after his 1000-year probation is up and has to be stopped); that Mexican Santa Claus movie that features a Martian Santa, Merlin the Magician, and a devil (no El Santo, though; what were they thinking?); that horrid live-action remake of the Grinch; The Star Wars Christmas Special (my eyes!); and that classic, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.
So don't say I never gave you anything for Christmas!
