Good news for fans of 50's Sci-Fi Films

They'll be showing every Thursday night all through June on TCM.

Yes, TCM, the last cable channel that even pretends to live up to its monicker, will be showing movies that haven't been seen on the tube for decades now. Such as Gojira, King of the Monsters, Tarantula, Attack of the Fifty-Foot Woman, and It Came From Beneath The Sea.

Really, these are glorious artifacts of a truly bizarre in all the good ways period of film, and many of them are just plain goofy fun. If you were a kid from the 70's-80's, you saw at least a few of these on TV. Didn't every local TV station have their yearly "Japanese Monster Week" when you could go nuts on Godzilla for five days straight?

Thank you, TCM, for actually putting these movies on. Now you just need to put them all together in one of the TCM Classics collections.

Happy viewing and keep watching the skies. ;)

godzilla, kaiju, monsters, sci-fi, toho, schlock, science fiction, atomic horror, good movies
