"Please help save me from my captors"? LOL!

I don't believe it, I actually got a bit of spam that was, of all things, the Spanish Prisoner Scam!

This is a very, very old con wherein someone gets a letter from some foreign country, supposedly from a fellow citizen, pleading for help. They have been captured by evil Spanish Inquisitors/Chinese Warlords/Greek Bandits/Third World Guerillas who will kill them unless they can pony up several thousand dollars to save their lives.

They are quite rich, and as such assure you that they can repay you as soon as they're free. They typically can't pay (as this one couldn't) because their evil plotting lawyer and/or relative has seized control of the estate and is keeping them from their money. Its left unstated, but apparently the Evil Lawyer is also the one who set the nasty foreigners on them. Sometimes they offer you their smoking hot virgin daughter who is also their sole heir for marriage if you save them. Sometimes the "daughter" gets in on it, promising that they'll sex you to death if you rescue dear old daddy.

And it'll only cost me $20,000!

Sorry, Mister Willis, but you'll have to take your chances with the Tibetan Nationalists in the Congo (yes, the letter said that). Pity about the daughter though. ;)

Best all!
