When I screamed and yelled about Clinton for 8 years, I went into poverty and and to go through a Vet program to have some place to stay and get a job! Then, I trusted in God not in men ... and I got a good job, have a place of my own and able to enjoy life more.
THIS time, though I am not thrilled with Obama, I will pray for him and his cabinet and our congress.

For, when I read this verse I figured out what I did wrong! Exodus 22:28 slapped me in the face so hard I thought last Tuesday was the next week:
"Do not blaspheme God OR CURSE THE RULER OF YOUR PEOPLE." And for 8 years I was cursing Clinton. So, Now I am taking a new stance in prayer instead of cursing.

Joel Osteen also mentioned about dreaming big dreams ... but to get those dreams you have to PLAN! Jesus, spoke about planning. Scriptures that come to mind is Luke 14:28-32. Also, we commit planning our ways to God: Psalms 37:5 and Proverbs 3:5-8.

What I meant was, post your own list. It's OK to repost mine, but I'm sure good things happened to you during the 1990s.

Referring to a comment you left in my LJ, "we'll all be dead by 1990" is obviously false. Be of good cheer! We're in the bonus round and opportunities are everywhere.

When I think of the 90's, I mostly think of my parents' funerals and a load of **** from my family and employer.

I've had happier times.

May God give you happier times again. (For me, I'd rather forget most of the 70s.)
