"Abstinence won't kill you, you know."

Just found this LJ entry by haikujaguar very well thought out and stated argument that some people need to learn how to set boundaries, and just because you haven't gotten laid yet/aren't getting laid on a regular basis, that doesn't mean that something is wrong with you.

I especially like a comment she makes in the earlier LJ entry she references in the main one:

"If you haven't had sex yet, you're not sub-human. No one should be pitying you or condescending to you.

If you haven't had sex lately, you're not going to die from some stress-induced aneurism, and anyone who makes you feel that way should be publically shamed.

If you've chosen not to have sex for some reason, you are a freaking counter-cultural revolutionary. Last time I checked, that gives you the right to wear the 'I'm cooler than all you people who are swimming with the current' badge."

Yes, I like women and I like erotic art, but there comes a point where the individual just has to realize that they can say, "No, I'm not into that, please don't get in my face about it."
