Well, I may well have a seasonal position with UPS as a driver, starting next week. Can anyone reading this tell me what I can expect working with them?
And if that doesn't pan out, there's another place with seasonal work, a warehouse, but I'd really like to avoid them -- they're based in Center City Allentown, and while the job is listed as 'full time', when I called I was told to expect 60-hour weeks. Umm, no thank you. And especially not in Center City.
And something exceedingly strange that I stumbled across in the rather weird book Our Gods Wear Spandex: The Secret History of Comic Book Heroes by Chris Knowles: on page 130, he states that Dynomutt was 'a stand-in for Anubis' to 'the Blue Falcon's Horus' on the late 70's toon Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour. Sorry, but I can't see Dynomutt as Anubis.
At another point, he apparently seriously argues that when Alex Ross wrote the classic Kingdom Come graphic novel, that "the pagan gods of old were speaking through him". I can only wonder what the people who've actually read it must think of that...
