Disney to destroy yet another cherished childhood memory: JOHN CARTER OF MARS
Well, over at the Herogames Forums, you can tell the holidays are approaching, as all the usual anti-Christian threads are being posted, buy the same people as every year (okay, it's against the board rules, but they're mods or the friends of same so the rules don't apply to them).
However, there are also some news items of actual importance being psoted as well, including this: Flash Gordon, move over. Next in line to be kiddifired into imbecility is John Carter, Warlord of Barsoom. Yes, the Disney Studios are going to be making a John Carter trilogy. And already on the thread, the weeping and gnashing of teeth has begun.
Of course, they might do a good job, but then again, this is something that's been leaked concerning a song that dejah Thoris will be singing in the movie:
"You think you own whatever planet that you land on
Mars is just a red thing you can claim
but I know every canal and creature
has a spirit, has antennae, has a name...."
