Nah, I don't believe in "fairy tale" excuses. If I could add up the time I've wasted clinging to the shreds of a "fairy tale" of which I'd convinced myself, rather than seeing/knowing/acknowledging the actual truth, I could get another degree.
It can be tough to get past the seeing the movie ending in your brain. That's where I'm at right now on this one. Tons of potential that went unrealized. Ugh...
If it's any consolation (and I'm sure it isn't, but I have to try), if she's going to be that sketchy and vague on things now, it's probably just not meant to be. (But I know that never makes it any less difficult to re-wire your thinking: about her, about the whole mess, and particularly the view to the future. That's just gonna take some time. And maybe a few rounds with Jose Cuervo.)
