My brother's facebook page is a flurry of pictures from the hospital last night as he and his fiance went in to have my most recent nephew. I wish them luck with that; it's my brother's first child and I know he's giddy about it.
That's cool.
What's less cool is my father's constant barrage of "friend suggestions" on Facebook. Since I introduced him to the site in late November as explained it's a nice way to keep in touch with family, he's suggested over 200 family members I should be friends with. To put this in perspective, he has 9 brothers and sisters, and 11 cousins. Who the fuck are the OTHER 180+ people?
That's frustratingly stupid, especially as I was raised in a very nuclear family, having seen my aunts and uncles only on a half dozen occasions before adulthood and am not close to any of them.
I wonder how many refused friend requests the site allows? If there's a max, I'm nearing it.
