Yesterday was solo contest. I made a 2 (Highest=1, Lowest=5). I'm so disappointed. I used to make ones and this year I've been bleh. I mean, the band as a whole has done well (First place at North Texas contest, all ones in everything), but individually, I've been...just urgh. And not just with band, but with everything. Yeah, I'm one of those losers who don't have a talent. I have hobbies. I'm just talentless at them all.
On Cinco de Mayo, I got something in the mail. (Which reminds me, I need to get more stamps.) Apparently my father figure decided to surprise me. Thinking rationally, my life is actually prolly a lot better than a lot of other people from a materialistic vantage point. I mean, I don't have clothes I want, I have to have CDs burned, I have almost no books because I'm a library whore, and I don't have any "cool" stuff. But still, it's not like it's that bad. So life is good in a material way, I s'pose. Just wish I could say the same emotionally.
Tomorrow is Mother's Day. (Well, for all the people on my side of the international date line) Don't know how that will go.
