[And RIGHT as Bass gets close, Dark flares out his Eco. He lets the kick make contact, falling back and rolling down the stairs, grabbing the banister to right himself as soon as he can.]

[HEY YOU THAT WASN'T FAIR

Bass, disoriented by the sudden influx of power, slams into the banister and collapses on the stairs before a hand snaps out to drag himself back upright. He shakes his head, though it won't really do any good; his vision fuzzes in and out and his audio crackles before he can reboot the individual systems.]

[Dark is bruised and winded, but he cackles as he leans against the banister, clutching his ribs.]

[Bass bristles before standing and wrenching at the banister until he tears a section loose, which he promptly chucks at Dark.]

[Dark brings up an arm to block the chunk of metal from hitting him in the face, crouching down and rocking on his heels, teeth bared in a vicious grin.]

[Apparently this time Jak has higher brain functions than either of the other times he fought Bass. He's talking and making plans instead of acting entirely on instinct. Come to think of it, he looks a little different, too...

Well who the hell cares? Makes things more fun. Bass is going to throw himself at Dark again, ready to catch himself in case he dodges.]
