Doug/carol, Doug's son

I read a fic years ago where Doug's son, the one he never met, comes looking for him as a teenager-he finds Doug living with Carol, Tess, and Kate. The story was from the kid's point of view, I think, and he had a really strange name? I think there was a sub-plot involving his best friend. Anyone? Thanks : )
