I started with the guy who was trapped in the book. Technically he was not a dark hunter but it was considered part of the series. I cannot find it on that web site. It was a really good one. I really think she has something with these dudes. Bad and totally immortal. :P
I have trouble keeping up with that series as she is so prolific so I don't try and it gets expensive. But I do like her concepts...dream hunters, dark hunters...etc.
The book you started with is Fantasy Lover, with Julian trapped in the book. He does turn up in several of the Dark-hunters book, as he is friend to the Dark-Hunter Kyrian, a professor in acient history.
One of the books I wished could have been way longer and little different is Acheron (Ash).
Yeah it get expensive, though if you really like a series you do pay for it. For me to read them at all I had to buy them, as it was just ealier of this year they started to translate them to my native language - Swedish. I do read the first book translated, but it tick me off more than I like as I think they translated it badly, like as Kyrian do go as Kyrian Hunter and they translate Hunter. They also translated were-hunters incorrect in my oppinion. So I'll keep to continue read them in English.
--- Sorry efran_starled, for rambling in your journal. I hope to make it up soon with the Advent Calendar story for you.
Ya ya. I have gotten caught in series. I have Acheron to read too and started it but stopped reading it for some reason. I should pick that one up. I do really think the dream hunters are cool. Love those. I also love her use of mythology in this series. Very cool that.
I found the Dark Hunter series original and very well-imagined. I don't like all of what she does, but she has some great elements, some memorable characters and plenty of drama. She paints a good picture with words.
Her website is unusually lively for an author's where pictures have been assigned to the characters which is fun and done rather well.
