Just woke from a nightmare in which my high school friend Isaac had joined a Japanese nihilism cult called Anko Anko Pai. (cougarfang, too, who had joined when her boyfriend had disappeared under mysterious circumstances. And a bunch of my other younger Japanophile friends.) It was an apostate splinter of Shinto Buddhism. It spread its message exclusively

I did think about jettisoning this entry and turning it into a short story instead, but a) being produced by my unconscious it's probably ripping off a dozen things I can't think of at the moment and b) I really don't have time to be doing that right now.

The thought of an Internet-raised nerdette like you going Ophelia after a memebomb attack is one of the scariest, saddest things I can imagine. Hmm, maybe I could turn that into a story...

Needs a little spice? Maybe some Paprika!

The creepiest part is that Isaac saw the Facebook version of this post and replied, "Don't think, feel, and you'll be tanasinn." Which is a 2ch meme that would almost be this if it had a serious message and was propagated on an epic scale.
