I got tired of drills and other dull stuff, so I put down my practice book today and Googled up some easy tabs. I'm really glad I did. Now, not only can I play the famous opening riff to Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water," I can play it three different ways.

Playing the "Smoke on the Water" riff with full (not power) chords on an acoustic is so strange. It's violently angry in such a sweet, gentle way.
