Brave sounds very cool but now I'm kinda side-eyeing Pixar EVEN MORE. Look, I like father/daughter relationships as much as anyone, but this originally, afaik, had a mother/daughter relationship at the centre. idk man. I'm still excited for it of course and there's nothing to say that the mother/daughter relationship WON'T be a focus but I'll be kinda crushed if it isn't? Father/daughter relationships are kind of all over animation and I was hoping to see Pixar break away from that. Guess I'm still a bit suspicious of the whole directorial kerfuffle that went down.

I will say though that this is still THE MOST EXCITED I have been for a voice cast for an animated movie EVER here Philippa have a voice cast omgggggg there is not a single thing I dislike about it now they've brought in Kelly MacDonald. I'm kinda not surprised D23 was an organisational mess compared to ComicCon; after all, SDCC has been going for DECADES whereas D23 is that new that they'll be working out the kinks for a while. I'm glad you still enjoyed yourself though~♥

Don't jump the gun so fast. Just because I love father/daughter relationships and am excited for this one, doesn't mean Pixar took the focus off Merida and her mother. I never said anything about that. The plot we were given mainly revolves around Merida and her own individualism and independence and less with either parent. From the looks we got, her relationship with her mother is going to be more important but the scene we got to watch just had some cute father/daughter scenes that I loved (there was an important mother/daughter scene as well, I was just less excited by that, lol). So just try not to assume anything, kay?

One of the things I loved most about the Brave presentation was how absolutely excited and passionate the director was about his film. It was infectious and he seemed very proud of what they were going to deliver to us so I have confidence. I think Kelly MacDonald's been attached for a while, I cannot wait for her, I adore her. And especially Craig Ferguson as well, this is an awesome cast.

LOL THAT'S BASICALLY ALL CARS IS. IT'S THE MERCHANDISE FRANCHISE OF PIXAR. NOTHING MORE.

Hiddles and the Avengers was alone worth it~ ♥
